Pablo Picasso began his career as an artist by painting realistic looking paintings.

As time went on Picasso liked to paint things in different styles and from various different perspectives. One of these styles is called Cubism. Picasso would look at the different shapes that made up a person or an object and move the shapes around to form a unique composition.
